11 January 2010: 7 September 2009: Any chance of updating the list please?
The delay in getting club details onto the site is the only drawback to your service. Is there any way we can get the updates done - my original request was a year ago next week? I've copied it below to save you looking back:

We are playing at St Dunstans School in Catford, next Saturday the 4th of September. We play around six or 7 fixtures a season. Everyone gets a game, and a lot of good sport is had by all.

Each year Crowthorne Cricket club run a successful six a side competition in memory of their former player Adrian Chatters, with all proceeds being donated to the Royal Berkshire Cancer ward.
Unfortunately we have had a team drop out at the last minute so we are now looking for a team to take their place.
The competition takes place this Sunday (29th Aug) at Wellington College in Crowthorne, the format is eight teams split into two mini leagues (on two pitches) with semi finals and then the final. This is the fourth year we have run this and each of the previous years has been a fantastic success, with plenty of entertainment for families, Bouncy Castle, Free BBQ, Free Beer and other games. It does cost £80 to enter but every penny of that will go towards the charitable donation. As I say we are now desperate for one more team, if interested please contact me on 07912276728 or aran.long@lorienunique.com Azza |

Exiles CC are a one team club based in South-west London. We play approximately 10 -15 friendly Sunday fixtures per season and have wide variety of cultures and skill levels in our side - everyone is welcome.
We have been struggling for numbers this year and are looking for new blood to not just come in to the side and play cricket, but also to get involved in the decision making and running of the club.
It's really up to you how involved you'd like to get. Decisions that need to be made shortly are the location of our home ground for next season (currently at Hampton Court, but we are looking at moving a bit more central, any ideas?), the updating of the website, recruitment of new players (this is a start), etc etc... If someone wanted to take things a step further and look at team sponsorship etc then that would be fine. This club is crying out for someone to take it by the scruff of the neck.
The reason for our depleted numbers is due to the fact that we have an International flavour to our team. A lot of Aussies, SA and Kiwis play for us for a few seasons while they are over in the UK, but we inevitably lose them when it's time for them to go back home.
We are looking for our next influx of players - do you have a group of 3, 4 or 5 that would like to play for the Exiles and get involved? If so, drop us an email and come and have a beer with us.
exilescc@gmail.com
Better still, if you'd like to jump in at the deep end then come and play for us this Sunday - we are a few short!
Cheers, Eddie EXILES CC |
